    This program focuses on the healing relationship between humans and animals. Through education, community events, and animal-assisted experiences, Fur & Feelings helps individuals explore how connection with animals supports emotional regulation, resilience, and well-being.

    This includes:

    •animal-assisted support experiences

    •education around pet-assisted healing

    •partnerships with shelters, fosters, and therapy animals

    •creating accessible pathways for human–animal connection

  • Community Mental Health & Education

    Fur & Feelings provides trauma-informed, accessible mental health education through community-based programming. Our offerings focus on emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and the role of connection; both human and animal, in healing.

    This may include:

    •workshops and educational events

    •community talks and panels

    •mental health awareness walks

    •psychoeducation rooted in compassion and accessibility

  • Shelter & Rescue Support Initiatives

    We collaborate with shelters, rescues, and animal care organizations to provide resources that support animal well-being and reduce stress in shelter environments.

    Support may include:

    •food and supply donations

    •enrichment toys and sensory support

    •wellness-focused initiatives for animals in care

    •collaborative community events that support adoption and fostering

  • Community Events & Human–Animal Experiences

    Our community events are designed to bring people and animals together in meaningful, low-pressure spaces that foster education, connection, and compassion.

    Examples include:

    •Coffee with Dogs events

    •adoption and foster awareness gatherings

    •educational pop-ups with shelters and partners

    •community-based wellness experiences

  • Collaborate Wellness Partnerships

    Fur & Feelings partners with clinics, shelters, and wellness providers to expand access to supportive care for animals and people.

    This includes:

    •sponsored wellness services for animals (ex: red light therapy)

    •collaborations with veterinary clinics and care providers

    •partnerships that support aging, injured, or special-needs animals

    •shared-resource initiatives that reduce barriers to care

    As Fur & Feelings grows, we aim to provide training and educational opportunities for professionals, volunteers, and community members interested in trauma-informed, animal-assisted, and holistic approaches to care.
